Polymer Emulsion or also known as synthetic latex is made from the polymerization of monomers such as Vinyl Acetate, Acrylic Ester, Styrene and Ethylene in solution of surfactant or water soluble polymeric substances.
Currently, PT Justus Sakti Raya has a total production capacity of 10,000 tonnes/year of polymer emulsion. Our product is licensed from Showa Highpolymer Co.,Ltd. (Japan), under the trade name of YUKASHU® Polymer Emulsion.
Several fields of application are as follows:
1.Paint and Coating
We produce high quality products for interior and exterior flat paint. YUKASHU® Polymer Emulsion is used as binders for emulsion paint, with several key features: excellent scrub resistance, good pigment compatibility, water and alkali resistance. Some of our well known products in this range are the YUKASHU® AP 2680 (styrene acrylic ester copolymer emulsion) and YUKASHU® PS-130 HQ (polyvinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion). Additionally, YUKASHU® Polymer Emulsion are also used widely as binders for roof paint and water proofing coating.
2.Adhesive
Polyvinyl Acetate Homopolymers and Copolymers are used as adhesive in many applications such as packaging, wood binding, book binding, paper overlay, PVC sheet to wood, PVC sheet to MDF, carpet to substrats, etc.
3.Textile and leather.
Textile Binders are applied to the fabric to increase strength and resistance to wrinkling and shrinking. They are also widely used for pigment and printing binders for cloth, non-binding woven, backcoating cloth, and leather coating.
